It is possible to save space very easily if you know how to fold the baby’s clothes. Usually, most of the time when I see my drawers untidy it seems very annoying, and it seems very frustrating. Since baby clothes are small and adorable, folding and storing clothes is quite challenging. I am going to tell you the easiest way to fold baby clothes.
I will share with you an easy way to sort baby clothes. Hopefully, after reading this paragraph you will feel more confident about the work. So let’s get started.
If you ask moms of different numbers of children how they work with their baby clothes you will get different answers. But before we show you how to fold children’s clothes, let’s talk about some methods and compare them.
The KonMari method, created by Marie Konda, uses a folding technique when it comes to children’s clothing that allows the folded clothing to stand up straight. It is also known as a filing method and makes baby clothes more easily accessible and organized.
Many parents prefer this method of folding over conventional techniques. However, the way you fold your clothes and the way you fold your baby’s clothes are slightly different.
This is probably the folding method that everyone uses, where the garments are stacked in separate drawers on top of each other. Some people may think that this method is better than the KonMari method.
But when you find what you want you to have to pick up a bunch of other clothes, which is very annoying. I prefer the KonMari method because it makes it easier to enter clothing. If you have a high shelf, like in a closet, the traditional method can still be effective. So instead of standing the clothes straight, you can stack them on shelves so you can see each piece.
How to Fold Baby Clothes Using KonMari Method
To accomplish this, you need to follow some general rules. Let’s mention them.
Choose a clean and flat surface so that the fabrics can be folded very easily.
Always make it a habit to flatten when folding clothes.
Check the stand-up after folding so that after folding, the clothes stand on their own.
Remember to try to leave some space on top when putting clothes in the dresser drawer.
Finally, always organize to create more space.
We will now discuss the folds of each garment separately.
Long-sleeved dresses are the most challenging but don’t worry. I will teach you how to fold long sleeves.
First start by flattening it.
Next fold the onesies to length, on each side, and place the sleeves inside.
Then you fold the onesies into three parts.
Lastly check that the folds are clean and even. This allows you to place the clothes in a straight drawer, which takes up little space.
Sleepers, or pajamas, can be difficult to fold, but they are not. All you have to do is get it done properly.
Keep the feet flat by touching and start folding the sleeves.
Then bring the two legs up until half folded.
Once you do this, fold it twice and triple it, then it’s ready to put in the drawer.
Follow the procedure below to fold the pants in the KonMari method.
Place the panty on a flat surface and bend one leg over the other.
Then make sure the crotch is stuck and fold the panty about halfway, leaving a little space at the top.
When this is done, fold the pants three times from the bottom so that they give the required dimensions to stand up straight.
Start folding one side of the shirt to fold a shirt at the beginning.
Take the sleeve of the shirt, and fold it over your folded panel.
